TIFF to Mark 40th Anniversary with Slate of Free Programming


Piers Handling, Director & CEO of TIFF, tonight announced special programming taking place during the 2015 summer and fall seasons in celebration of the organization's 40th anniversary. The announcements were made at a free community party held in David Pecaut Square in downtown Toronto, prior to this season's first TIFF in the Park event, a screening of the 1992 Toronto International Film Festival People's Choice Award-winner Strictly Ballroom.

Minneapolis Musical Theatre (MMT) concludes its 2014-2015 season with Happy Days-A New Musical making its area premiere tonight, April 24-May 17, 2015 at Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Theatre. Based on the hit ABC television show 'Happy Days,' the musical features a book by the series' original creator Garry Marshall, with music and lyrics by Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner Paul Williams. Happy Days is directed by longtime Twin Cities' director and actor Joe Hendren working with MMT's artistic director, Christian Unser.
