Photo Flash: First Look at John W. Engeman Theater's A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A GHOST STORY OF CHRISTMAS

The thrilling new twist on a holiday classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A Ghost Story of Christmas runs through January 6, 2013 at the John W. Engeman Theater. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!

Michael Wilson's adaptation is a creative re-telling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless miser who discovers the true meaning of the holiday season after a Christmas Eve haunting. Through encounters with ghosts - including his late business partner Jacob Marley - Scrooge learns what ill fate lies in store for him if he continues on his greedy and heartless course.

Featuring all of Dickens' well-known characters (Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future), this story of love and redemption is both a chilling ghost tale and a heartwarming holiday event for families and people of all ages. This dazzling production, with original score by John Gromada is an unforgettable theatrical experience which will fill audiences with warm sentiments of the holiday season. A Christmas Carol instills a powerful message about redemption and the spirit of the holiday season.

A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas is produced by RICHARD T. DOLCE, the theater's Producing Artistic Director.

The Associate Artistic Director at the John W. Engeman Theater, Mark Adam Rampmeyer, directs this unique and exciting adaptation of Charles Dickens' manuscript where you'll even find some laugh-out-loud moments. Last season he directed the John W. Engeman Theater production of 42nd Street and has spent 35 years working in the professional theatrical community. Mark was the recipient of a Drama Desk award for his contributions to the design team for Horton Foote's Orphans' Home Cycle at Signature Theater.

A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas will feature with Choreography by Wendy Seyb (Broadway and HBO's The Pee Wee Herman Show), scenic designer Jonathan Collins (The Kravis Center's premiere production of Divorce Party and John W. Engeman Theater's I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change) with costumes by RYAN J. MOLLER (John W. Engeman Theater's I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change and Assistant design for Santa Fe Opera's La Boheme). Lighting is designed by Cory Pattak (John W. Engeman Theater's My Fair Lady, and Associate on Broadway's Peter...Starcatcher). Sound design by CRAIG KAUFMAN (John W. Engeman Theater's I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Changeand Sweet Charity). Hair and Make-Up design by BRANDALYN FULTON (John W. Engeman Theater's 42nd Street, makeup swing at The Lion King on Broadway).
